Background

Jordan Porter has a broad range of litigation experience, and has represented clients in a wide range of high profile, high controversy matters.  Formerly of the Law Offices of Woosley & Porter, Jordan started his own firm in November 2017, until jointing Nye, Stirling, Hale, Miller & Sweet as a partner in 2019.

Jordan has represented large and small companies, public entities, and individuals in cases involving claims of sexual abuse, securities fraud, elder abuse, wrongful death, breach of contract, construction disputes, real estate, and real property disputes, professional negligence, and violations of civil rights violations.

Jordan has represented his clients in all phases of litigation, including trials, arbitrations, and appeals.  He has successfully tried cases before the Superior Courts of Los Angeles, Ventura, and Santa Barbara counties.  Jordan has filed and brought to conclusion hundreds of securities arbitrations file with FINRA and AAA.  He is admitted to practice in California, the United States District Courts for the Central, Southern, and Eastern Districts of California, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Born in Centralia, Washington, Jordan received his juris doctorate from the Santa Barbara College of Law, where he graduated with highest honors.  Jordan lives in Santa Barbara with his wife and three children.  He is a member of the Santa Barbara County Bar Association, the William L. Gordon Inns of Court, and the Rotary Club of Santa Barbara North, and a former board member of the Santa Barbara Barristers.
