Jennifer Lofthus is senior counsel at Nye, Stirling, Hale & Miller, where she handles complex litigation, including matters involving civil rights, childhood sex abuse, and higher education.
Jennifer has successfully represented her clients in all phases of litigation across many subject areas throughout her career, including victims of elder abuse, fraud, breach of contract, unfair business practices, and negligence. She has also served as a General Compliance Manager for a prominent university system overseeing Americans with Disability Act compliance and has an extensive background in higher education policy, privacy, and compliance.
Jennifer earned her juris doctor degree, with highest honors, from the Santa Barbara College of Law where she was an executive member of the student bar association and recipient of numerous merit awards. Jennifer is also a proud alumnus of the University of California, Santa Barbara were she earned a bachelor of arts degree in English. Prior to joining the State Bar of CA, Jennifer interned and externed at the Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s Office, and is a former member of the Board of Directors for Domestic Violence Solutions of Santa Barbara County.
